E' partita la raccolta di firme per salvare il futuro degli ex magistrali. Il quadro orario proposto dal ministero per il nuovo liceo delle scienze umane, che sostituirà dal 2010 tutte le sperimentazioni nate in questi istituti, presenta infatti alcuni limiti evidenti:
1) mancano completamente le materie di indirizzo nel biennio
2) nell'intero quinquennio le scienze umane sono ridotte a sole 12 ore (mentre 30 sono dedicate all'area linguistica e 16 a fisica e scienze natural)
3) there is no systematic treatment of psychology and sociology (two fundamental sciences, high educational value for students)
4) the teaching of the history of education is separate from that of philosophy (although the authors examined the two disciplines are essentially identical in the third and fourth)
The collection of signatures is to correct these defects, to defend the specific identity of this address.

Proposals for a better high school humanities
1) replace the human sciences in the years
2) increase both in the traditional school of humanities and social and economic option, the time spent to address disciplines (humanities and social sciences)
3) involve the teaching of philosophy in the history of education (high school in the humanities) or the social sciences (social and economic option), reliable, as has always happened up until now, the same teacher
4) reintroduction programs in the three years of high school science the systematic study of human psychology and sociology
